The Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs open the 2016 National League Championship Series on Saturday night at Wrigley Field in what’s just the second postseason matchup between the two clubs.
They last met in the 2008 NL Division Series when the Dodgers, led by former manager Joe Torre and power-hitting outfielder Manny Ramirez, swept the Cubs. Los Angeles outscored Chicago, 20-6, during the short series.
Among the preseason favorites to reach the World Series, the Cubs have been off since Tuesday after overcoming a three-run deficit against the San Francisco Giants in Game 4 of the NLDS.
The Dodgers are two days removed from relying on Kenley Jansen for 51 pitches over 2.1 scoreless innings, and a two-out save from Clayton Kershaw.

Last year, the Los Angeles Metro engaged in a similar exchange with the New York Metro prior to the Dodgers and Mets meeting in the 2015 NLDS.
