How To Watch Dodgers-Red Sox Series Opener On Apple TV+ For Free

The Los Angeles Dodgers open a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Friday night. The first game series is being streamed exclusively by Apple TV+ and isn’t available on SportsNet LA or anywhere else.

The series in Boston marks the first game back for Mookie Betts since he was traded to the Dodgers in February 2020.

Meanwhile, weather permitting, it’s the Dodgers third appearance on Apple TV+ of the 2023 season.

Wayne Randazzo handles play-by-play and Dan Plesac is in the booth as an analyst. Heidi Watney will serve as the sideline reporter.

Lauren Gardner and Siera Santos handle the studio show for “Friday Night Baseball,” and former MLB players Xavier Scruggs and Matt Joyce join as analysts.

Dubbed “Friday Night Baseball,” Apple TV+’s MLB broadcast is in its second year. Since the start of the agreement in 2022, the Dodgers have been on Apple TV+ four times, beginning with their Jackie Robinson Day matchup versus the Cincinnati Reds.

Arguably L.A.’s most memorable moment on Apple TV+ came last September when former Albert Pujols collected his 699th and 700th home runs of his eventual Hall of Fame career during a game at Dodger Stadium.

How to watch Dodgers games for free on Apple TV+

Fans can watch “Friday Night Baseball” on any internet device where Apple TV+ can be found, including iPad, iPhone, Apple TV 4K and HD, Mac, and on tv.apple.com. Android phones are notably one of the only devices that does not support Apple TV+.

The main change from last season is that fans will have to pay to subscribe to Apple TV+ to watch games. The service is available for $6.99 a month. New subscribers can elect to have a seven-day free trial, as well.

Apple is also running a promotional two-month free trial for its streaming service.
