The 2023 MLB All-Star Futures Game at T-Mobile Park in Seattle is set for Saturday, July 8, and will be streamed exclusively on Peacock for a second consecutive year.
The 24th edition of the annual showcase is scheduled for seven innings and will once again be played in a National League vs. American League format. First pitch will come shortly after 4 p.m. PT.
MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds is going to manage the AL Futures team, while the league’s senior vice president of on-field operations Raul Ibañez leads the NL Futures.
Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Dalton Rushing was named to the NL roster and is the team’s only representative in this year’s exhibition game. Former Dodgers prospect Clayton Beeter, who was sent to the New York Yankees in the Joey Gallo trade last year, is playing for the AL.
Last season the Dodgers were represented by Diego Cartaya, Bobby Miller and Miguel Vargas in the Futures Game at Dodger Stadium, their most in franchise history for one year. Overall, the Dodgers have had 26 Minor Leaguers named to the Futures Game since the first one was played in 1999.
Rushing has hit .258/.424/.484 with 16 doubles, one triple, eight home runs and 35 RBI while appearing in 56 games for the High-A Great Lakes Loons through the first half of the season. The Dodgers’ first pick from the 2022 MLB Draft recently returned from the seven-day injured list after being hit in the head by a follow-through swing.
