The Los Angeles Dodgers begin a six-game road trip with a matchup against the New York Mets that is going to be available to a national audience as part of the weekly “Friday Night Baseball” streams on Apple TV+.
All three of the Dodgers’ games against the Mets at Citi Field this weekend were selected for a nationwide broadcast. The middle contest can be seen on Fox and the series finale is being carried by ESPN for “Sunday Night Baseball.”
The Dodgers previously appeared on “Friday Night Baseball” during their April 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies. L.A. will also be on Apple TV+ next week when they host the New York Yankees in a rematch of the 2024 World Series.
Wayne Randazzo and Dontrelle Willis are going to be on the call for the “Friday Night Baseball” game and be accompanied by reporter Heidi Watney.
SportsNet LA is not going to televise Friday’s game between the Dodgers and Mets, but fans in the United States and Canada will have the option to listen to local radio broadcasts for both teams.
Apple TV+ began exclusively streaming games during the 2022 season. The Dodgers were featured on the platform five times last year.
“Friday Night Baseball” is produced by MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning production team in partnership with Apple’s live sports production team. Each game will feature state-of-the-art cameras and immersive sound in 5.1 with Spatial Audio enabled, including player and field-level mics to further immerse fans in the atmosphere.
“Friday Night Baseball” streams incorporate drone cameras for aerial stadium shots, as well as player microphones and field-level mics to further immerse fans in the gameplay and overall atmosphere.
