How To Watch And Stream Cardinals Vs. Dodgers Wild Card Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers tied a franchise record with 106 wins but still finished in second place and now face the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Wild Card Game on Wednesday. TBS is the exclusive home of the NL bracket for the 2021 postseason, beginning with the one-game playoff.

Their coverage on Wednesday starts with a pregame show at 4 p.m. PT, hosted by Ernie Johnson and featuring Pedro Martinez, Curtis Granderson and Jimmy Rollins. The studio team additionally will provide postgame analysis.

Brian Anderson is handling play-by-play duties for the Wild Card Game, with analyst Ron Darling and reporter Lauren Shehadi joining him for the national broadcast. First pitch at Dodger Stadium is set for 5:10 p.m.

Excluding last year’s expanded postseason, the Dodgers are in the traditional Wild Card Game — which was introduced in 2012 — for the first time in franchise history. They enter on a six-game winning streak and have additionally rattled off 15 consecutive victories at home.

Max Scherzer takes the mound as he tries to bounce back from two consecutive subpar starts to finish out the regular season.

The Cardinals, who went on a franchise-best 17-game winning streak to clinch their spot in the Wild Card Game, counter with longtime ace Adam Wainwright. At 40 years and 36 days, he is the oldest pitcher to ever start in the Wild Card round.

“We’re going to have Scherzer versus Wainwright, two good teams, and a team that’s been playing well and feels good about themselves just like we do,” Walker Buehler said of the matchup.

“I think obviously we like our side of it. We have a three-time Cy Young winner going, but Wainwright has kind of had this resurgence and he’s won championships. It’s going to be a fun game and entertaining game. We feel good about our clubhouse and who we’re running out there.”
