How To Use MLB Go-Ahead Entry At Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers are among a number of teams that adopted Go-Ahead Entry facial authentication technology at ballpark entry gates beginning with the 2025 season.

For Dodger Stadium specifically, it’s among several new additions or modifications that were put into place this year.

The new Go-Ahead Entry system allows fans to gain access into the stadium with a purchased ticket by only showing their faces to a camera, which authenticates them and automatically scans their tickets once identified.

It results in a quick and easy way for fans to enter the stadium without having to physically take out their tickets or phones to scan.

Dodger Stadium gates that feature the Go-Ahead Entry technology are in left-center field, right-field reserve and left-field reserve.

In order to utilize Go-Ahead Entry, participants must have the latest version of the MLB Ballpark app downloaded on their device and ensure tickets are on the account associated with the app.

Also, a scan of your face must be taken and uploaded via the MLB Ballpark app prior to arrival at Dodger Stadium or participating ballparks. It only needs to be done once to use Go-Ahead Entry at any location.

Enrollment is completely voluntary and available to anyone 18 years of age or older with a MLB Ballpark account. Individuals under 18 may only enter through a Go-Ahead Entry gate with their registered parent or legal guardian who is consenting on their behalf.

Face masks, hats, glasses, colored contacts, head scarves or facial hair should not affect the scanner. The vast majority of sunglasses, face paint schemes and sequins will also not impact the scanner.

The MLB Ballpark App is available for download on both iOS and Android.

What user data is collected with Go-Ahead Entry?

In accordance with MLB’s Privacy Policy, Go-Ahead cameras will capture users’ biometric data to create a unique numerical token. The footage, including any facial scans, will be deleted shortly thereafter. The unique numerical token will be retained and associated with the user’s MLB account.

MLB stadiums with Go-Ahead Entry

In addition to Dodger Stadium, Go-Ahead Entry is available at Great American Ball Park, Daikin Park, Kauffman Stadium, American Family Field, Target Field, Citizens Bank Park, Oracle Park and Nationals Park.
