Getting eliminated in the National League Division Series for a second consecutive year was deemed another “organizational failure” by Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, who has since responded with one of the most successful free agency periods in sports history.
The Dodgers signed Shohei Ohtani to a record-breaking $700 million contract, and followed that by trading for Tyler Glasnow and adding Yoshinobu Yamamoto on a $325 million deal that is the richest for a pitcher in MLB history.
Most recently, the Dodgers reportedly agreed to terms with Teoscar Hernández on a one-year, $23.5 million contract that includes incentives.
Already a perennial World Series contender, the Dodgers appear primed for an exciting 2024 season. With the start of Spring Training and Opening Day fast approaching, DodgerBlue.com is looking to expand its highly-dedicated staff.
