Giants’ Logan Webb & Willy Adames Frustrated By ‘Too Many’ Dodgers Fans At Oracle Park

The Los Angeles Dodgers renewed their rivalry with the San Francisco Giants for an important three-game series before the All-Star break.

L.A. dropped the opening matchup, but it wasn’t without a strong show of support from Dodgers fans who made the trip to Oracle Park to cheer on the team.

After earning his ninth win of the season, Logan Webb credited Dodgers fans for helping create a playoff-like atmosphere, via KNBR:

“Every time we play these guys, it always seems like it’s a great atmosphere. Probably a little too many Dodger fans in the stands, but yeah, it’s always fun playing against them. Always great energy.”

Willy Adames wasn’t thrilled with the amount of blue in the stands but similarly praised L.A. fans for the energy they brought:

“I’m not going to lie, I feel like we had too many Dodgers fans here. Maybe tomorrow we get more San Francisco fans. But the energy was intense. I loved it. It felt like a playoff game, to be honest. That’s how high the energy was. I loved it and I love playing games like that.”

The Dodgers have one of the most passionate fanbases in all of sports and routinely lead the Majors in overall attendance, both at home and on the road.

There was a large contingent of Dodgers fans at Oracle Park on Saturday as well thanks to traveling group Pantone 294, who organizes multiple trips to opposing stadiums every year. It is believed they brought 1,500 fans to Oracle Park for the team’s 2-1 win over the Giants.

Last year, Pantone 294 made their presence felt during the Dodgers’ regular-season series against the New York Yankees in the Bronx.

Dodgers playing Giants on Roku

After snapping a season-worst seven-game losing streak, the Dodgers wrap up the unofficial first half of the season with a rubber match against the Giants on Sunday.

The game is being broadcast exclusively on Roku as part of their “MLB Sunday Leadoff” schedule, with first pitch set for 1:05 p.m. PT. Coverage begins at 12:45 p.m.
