The Los Angeles Dodgers are set as heavy betting favorites on the MLB odds at the sportsbooks for Monday night as they open a home series against the San Francisco Giants.

Los Angeles is listed as -250 chalk (wager $250 to win $100) on the moneyline for Monday night’s matchup at Dodger Stadium, with San Francisco set as the +210 underdog (wager $100 to win $210). The Dodgers send Kenta Maeda (7-3, 3.89 ERA) to the mound, with Tyler Beede (0-2, 8.06 ERA) listed as the probable starter for the Giants.

Giants at Dodgers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Right-hander Maeda is coming off a rare rough outing in his most recent start, giving up five runs on three hits and three walks over 4.1 innings of work against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last Tuesday.

Maeda was tagged with a loss in that game, a 5-3 Dodgers defeat, which was the first time he suffered a loss since April 23 against the Chicago Cubs. Overall, Los Angeles is 7-6 in Maeda’s 13 starts on the season, but he surrendered four or more runs in just four of those outings.

Right-hander Beede, meanwhile, has given up nine earned runs over 9.2 innings in his last two outings combined, including four runs on five hits in 4.2 innings in his most recent start at home against the San Diego Padres last week.

San Francisco still managed to pull out a 6-5 victory in that contest, and they’re 3-1 in Beede’s four starts on the season despite his winless mark.

The Dodgers and Giants have already met nine times this season, with Los Angeles holding the slight edge at 5-4 in those matchups. Their most recent series came on June 7-9, with San Francisco claiming the opener 2-1 and Los Angeles then winning 7-2 and 1-0 to pick up the series victory on the road.

The Dodgers were road favorites on the moneyline in all three of those games. The 13 combined runs in the series produced two UNDER results on the totals. The UNDER sits at 5-4 in the teams’ meetings, according to the OddsShark MLB Database.

The four-game series at Dodger Stadium continues on Tuesday with Los Angeles sending Clayton Kershaw (6-1, 3.13 ERA) to the mound to face Shaun Anderson (2-1, 3.97 ERA). Wednesday then sees the Dodgers’ Rich Hill (4-1, 2.60 ERA) take on the Giants’ Drew Pomeranz (2-6, 6.43 ERA), while Madison Bumgarner (3-6, 3.87 ERA) gets the ball for the Giants in Thursday’s series finale with the Dodgers using Walker Buehler (7-1, 3.06 ERA).
