Every player is set atop a thematic base that includes the official MLB World Tour Tokyo Series logo and their name. On the backdrop of the Dodgers bobbleheads is their team logo, and that of the Cubs for Suzuki and Imanaga.

Each boxed set of the Cubs and Dodgers bobbleheads is individually numbered and the collection will not be restocked once quantities sell out.

Ohtani, Yamamoto, Suzuki and Imanaga are among five Japanese natives who are expected to play in their home country. Roki Sasaki rounds out the group as he is expected to start in the second game of the Tokyo Series.

The matchup represents MLB’s sixth Opening Series in Japan and first since 2019. It additionally marks the 25th anniversary of the first-ever regular season games played in Japan between the Cubs and New York Mets.

Also for MLB, it’s the second consecutive year an international series will start the regular season. Last year, the Dodgers traveled to South Korea to face the San Diego Padres in the Seoul Series.

The Tokyo Series is the fourth time the Dodgers are traveling aboard. Their first international series came during the 2014 season when they played the Arizona Diamondbacks in Australia.

The Dodgers later faced the Padres in Mexico during the 2018 season. L.A. also played two Spring Training games against San Diego in China before the 2008 season.
