The 2024 MLB All-Star Game logo serves as backdrop display to further highlight the event at Globe Life Field, and the front of the base has the Dodgers’ team logo on it. Details on the base of the Dodgers All-Stars bobblehead also includes cactus and rock accents to tie in a desert atmosphere for the Texas Rangers hosting the 94th Midsummer Classic.
Of the Dodgers All-Stars this year, only Ohtani was voted to be a starter in the National League lineup. It’s the third time the NL designated hitter has come from the Dodgers and second year in a row.
Meanwhile, Betts and Freeman were both selected to an All-Star Game in their respective careers. Betts won’t participate this year due to his ongoing recovery from a left hand fracture.
Ohtani is an All-Star for the fourth time, Hernández and Smith earned their second career All-Star selections, and the honor is Glasnow’s first.
How Dodgers All-Stars compare
The six Dodgers All-Stars this year are second-most, behind only the Philadelphia Phillies’ seven selections. The Cleveland Guardians lead the American League with five All-Stars.
The Dodgers have at least six All-Stars for the third time since 2017, and it’s their fifth consecutive year with a minimum of five.
