FOCO is selling a new Shohei Ohtani bobblehead to commemorate the Los Angeles Dodgers star breaking the MLB record of most home runs hit by Japanese-born player.

Ohtani set a new record on April 21 by passing Hideki Matsui with the 176th home run of his career. Matsui played in 1,236 career games, while Ohtani achieved the record in just 725 games. Though, Matsui added 10 home runs in the postseason, while Ohtani has yet to play in an MLB playoff game.

“Honestly, I’m relieved and happy,” Ohtani said through interpreter Will Ireton of his achievement. “I took a while to get to this point since my last homer. So just honestly happy and relieved.”

Still to take place is Ohtani passing current manager Dave Roberts for most home runs in Dodgers franchise history by a player born in Japan. Roberts holds that record with seven, which is one more than Ohtani has hit this season.

The newest Ohtani bobblehead from FOCO features the slugger in the home white Dodgers uniform and in an action pose of hitting a home run.

Ohtani’s bobblehead is set to a backdrop that includes a “176 HOME RUNS” text display and Dodgers logo, and “4-21-24” on top of base to represent the achievement.

Also included is text of “MOST HOMERS IN AN MLB CAREER BY A JAPANESE-BORN PLAYER” on the front of the base.

The bobblehead is considered a limited edition and won’t be restocked once quantities sell out. FOCO previously released an Ohtani bobblehead for his first Dodgers home run, which was a popular item and is no longer available.

Still to come are Shohei Ohtani bobblehead giveaways at Dodger Stadium on May 16 and Aug. 28. Also being given away are an Ohtani hat (July 22) and Ohtani shirt (Sept. 21).
