FOCO Selling Dodgers Bobblehead To Commemorate New Franchise Wins Record

FOCO launched a new Los Angeles Dodgers bobblehead on Friday morning to celebrate the franchise wins record being broken during the 2022 regular season.

The design features a Dodger Dog and makes reference to the Dodgers’ 111 wins that was good for the best record in baseball. The bobblehead is limited to 122 units and will not be restocked once quantities sell out.

A Dodger Dog previously was used for a series of themed bobbleheads in recognition of the team being 2020 World Series champions, the Fourth of July, tropical surf, back to school, Halloween, Día de los Muertos, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Additional Dodgers bobbleheads by FOCO are still available in the forms of Freddie Freeman, Julio Urías, Gavin Lux, Dustin May and a Calavera design, among other options.

Prior to this season, the Dodgers franchise wins record was 106, shared by the 2019 and 2021 teams. The Dodgers are the first team in MLB history to win at least 106 games in three consecutive full seasons.

Their .685 winning percentage over the duration of a complete schedule also set a franchise record. The Dodgers’ highest winning percentage is .717, which was achieved during the shortened 2020 campaign. Prior to this year, the Dodgers franchise record for winning percentage in a full season was .682, shared by the 1899 and 1953 teams.

Also during the 2022 season, the Dodgers had their best record against the National League West in the divisional era by going 54-22 (.711). That topped the 1974 club that went 63-27 (.700) against the NL West. This year’s team also clinched the division in the fewest number of games than any other in franchise history.

Dodger Dog changed

The start of the 2021 season brought about a new Dodger Dog at Dodger Stadium, with one that is produced by Papa Cantella’s, rather than longtime supplier Farmer John.

Some consider the taste to be similar, but others have expressed the change and differences are easily noticeable.
