The Los Angeles Dodgers became the first team in baseball to 100 wins this season and reached the milestone for a 10th time in franchise history. The Dodgers previously were the first team to win 90 games this year, first to clinch a spot in the 2022 MLB postseason and first division winner.

They went 10-6 after hitting the 90-win mark. Of the 100-win seasons in Dodgers franchise history, four have come in the past six seasons. Included in that stretch was the 2019 Dodgers setting a franchise record with 106 wins, which was then tied last year.

The 2022 Dodgers are on pace to win a franchise-record 113 games. Doing so would make them the first team in MLB history to win 106 games in one season and surpass that total the following year. At minimum, they are the fastest team in Dodgers franchise history to 100 wins.

The first 100-win season in franchise history was accomplished by the 1899 Brooklyn Superbas that went 101-47. The century mark wasn’t reached again until the 1941 Brooklyn Dodgers finished 100-54 but lost to the New York Yankees in five games in the World Series.

None of the Dodgers teams to win 100 games thus far have ever won the World Series. Of that group, only the 1941, 1953, 1974 and 2017 teams reached the Fall Classic.

50-plus road wins, potential Dodgers home record

L.A. collected their 50th road win of the season on Friday night to tie them with the 1974 team (50-31) for the franchise record since moving from Brooklyn.

Now at 51-26, the 2022 Dodgers broke the franchise record for most road wins in a single season. That previously belonged to the 1952 Brooklyn club that went 51-24 away from Ebbets Field.

With a 49-18 home record this season, the Dodgers could set a new record for most wins at Dodger Stadium in franchise history.

That currently is held by the 2019 team that posted a 59-22 record at Dodger Stadium. They broke the record set by the 2017 Dodgers winning 57 games at Chavez Ravine.
