Esteury Ruiz And Hyseong Kim Receive 2025 Dodgers World Series Rings

The current homestand has represented a small reunion for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they first welcomed Michael Conforto and the Chicago Cubs, followed by Esteury Ruiz and the Miami Marlins.

Another connection to the Marlins is through manager Clayton McCullough, who was the Dodgers’ first base coach before getting hired by Miami ahead of the 2024 season.

Prior to first pitch on Monday night, manager Dave Roberts and multiple players presented Ruiz with his 2025 Dodgers World Series ring. There was a bit of fortuitous timing involved as Ruiz was just activated off the 10-day injured list April 23 after recovering from a left oblique strain.

Ruiz joined the organization at the start of last season and appeared in 19 games for the Dodgers. He was traded to the Marlins during the offseason in exchange for Minor League pitcher Adriano Marrero.

Hyeseong Kim receives World Series ring

Also before the series opener against the Marlins, the Dodgers held a ceremony inside their clubhouse to give Hyeseong Kim his 2025 World Series ring.

“Today, I would love to bring one particular player to the center. And this player bet on himself. Two years ago, he had an opportunity to sign with any team in the Major Leagues, and he said, ‘I want to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers. I want to play for the best team in baseball,'” Roberts said in his address.

“That’s pretty hard to do, as far as leaving money and opportunity elsewhere to play for the Dodgers. Every time he’s in the room he makes everybody better and more excited. So right now, Hyeseong Kim, come here.”

“Your current teammates, staff, front office, everybody in the Dodgers, wants to congratulate you and present you with your 2025 World Series ring. Hyeseong, congratulations.”

Upon opening the custom box to reveal the 14-karat yellow gold ring by Champions Collective, Kim let out, “Wow,” in English.

“The best choice I ever made in my life is to choose the Dodgers,” Kim added through an interpreter.
