Michael Conforto Receives 2025 Dodgers World Series Ring

The Los Angeles Dodgers presented Michael Conforto with his 2025 World Series ring during a small ceremony hosted by the players on the field at Dodger Stadium before they faced the Chicago Cubs.

Conforto only spent one season with the Dodgers, and he struggled throughout the year. Still, he was well-liked among teammates, the coaching staff and front office.

“I think some of the guys are going to give it to him, and I will definitely find Michael and congratulate him,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “But I think somebody mentioned they would give it to him. And I know he didn’t perform the way that people would have liked, and he would have liked, but I loved him on the team.

“I loved what he brought to the Dodgers.”

Conforto was left off the postseason roster, but remained with the Dodgers throughout the World Series as part of the taxi squad.

The left fielder was an early signing by the Dodgers in the offseason as they believed he had untapped potential. They worked on swing changes with Conforto, but those continued throughout the year as he tried to find consistency.

Conforto finished the year hitting .199/.305/.333 with 12 home runs, 54 runs scored, 36 RBI and an 83 wRC+ in 138 games. Despite his down-year, the Dodgers continued to give him chances due to their hope he would get back on track and the continued work he put in.

“I think that’s probably a question for him, but it wasn’t from lack of work and effort,” Roberts replied when asked why Conforto didn’t have success with the Dodgers. “But sometimes the environment is just not, you don’t feel (right). I don’t know, I don’t want to say pressure at all.

“But I don’t have an answer. But again, I wish him all the best, except for these games we play the Cubs.”

Conforto went on to sign a Minor League contract with the Cubs this past offseason. He made their Opening Day roster and has found a role as their fourth outfielder and a pinch hitter, batting .304/.452/.435 with a 156 wRC+ in 14 games.

Kyle Tucker faces Cubs

The Dodgers and Cubs essentially swapped corner outfielders during the offseason with Conforto heading to the Windy City and Kyle Tucker moving West. This week’s series represents both of their first times playing their former club, and Tucker was excited for it to begin.

“Yeah,” answered Tucker when asked by Kirsten Watson if he was looking forward to this weekend’s series. “I was watching their game earlier today before our game started. They’ve been playing well lately, so it’ll be a good series. Hopefully we can get a couple wins out of that and continue playing good ball.”

Tucker went 0-for-3 with one walk in the Dodgers’ loss.
