Eduardo Quintero was ranked as the top Los Angeles Dodgers prospect for the 2026 season by Baseball America. He supplanted Roki Sasaki, who held the honor last year.
Josue De Paula (No. 2), Mike Sirota, Zyhir Hope, Jackson Ferris, Charles Davalan, Alex Freeland, Zack Root, Emil Morales and Chase Harlan round out the top 10 rankings.
Quintero hit .293/.415/.508 with 22 doubles, seven triples, 19 home runs and 69 RBI in 113 games between Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes last season. Across his time with both affiliates, he stole 47 bases in 60 attempts.
De Paula batted .250/.391/.400 with 16 doubles, 12 home runs and 44 RBI in 102 games between Great Lakes and Double-A Tulsa. The 20-year-old participated in the 2025 All-Star Futures Game and earned MVP honors.
Sirota hit .333/.452/.616 with 16 doubles, 13 home runs and 54 RBI in 59 games between Rancho Cucamonga and Great Lakes. He was recently named as the breakout prospect of the Dodgers organization by MLB.com.
Hope batted .266/.376/.428 with 29 doubles, 13 home runs, 80 RBI and 27 stolen bases across 544 plate appearances in 127 games between Great Lakes and Tulsa. He received votes to win the 2026 National League Rookie of the Year Award in an MLB Pipeline poll.
Ferris went 10-7 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 9.6 strikeouts per nine in 126 innings across 26 games (24 starts) for the Drillers.
Davalan was selected by the Dodgers with the 41st overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft out of the University of Arkansas. He appeared in eight games for the Quakes, going 17-for-34 with three doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI and three stolen bases.
Freeland made his MLB debut with the Dodgers last year and hit .190/.292/.310 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI in 29 games. He found more success with Triple-A Oklahoma City, batting .263/.384/.451 with 30 doubles, 16 home runs 82 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 106 games.
Root was selected by the Dodgers with the 40th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft out of the University of Arkansas. He hasn’t made his professional debut yet but went 9-6 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 11.4 strikeouts per nine as a senior for the Razorbacks.
Morales hit .314/.396/.515 with 24 doubles, 14 home runs, 70 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 89 games between the Dodgers’ Rookie-level affiliate and Quakes.
Harlan batted .269/.357/.442 with 16 doubles, nine home runs and 58 RBI in 68 games between the Dodgers’ Rookie-level affiliate and Quakes.
Eduardo Quintero named Dodgers’ 2025 Branch Rickey Player of the Year
Quintero won the organization’s Branch Rickey Minor League Player of the Year last season, an award that was established in 1989.
Previous Dodgers Branch Rickey Award winners include Gavin Lux (2018-2019), Tony Gonsolin (2018), Walker Buehler (2017), Corey Seager (2014), Joc Pederson (2014, 2012), Chad Billingsley (2004-2005), Mike Piazza (1992) and Eric Karros (1991), among others.
