The weekly Los Angeles Dodgers Zoom party is continuing Monday, June 1, at 6 p.m. PT with a reunion of some members from the 1988 World Series team. Orel Hershiser, Mickey Hatcher, Kirk Gibson and Steve Sax are among the confirmed participants thus far.
Fans must register in order to watch the call, which can be completed on the Dodgers’ official website. A limited number of spaces are made available each week.
The 1988 Dodgers of course are remembered for their improbable run to a championship, which still stands as the last World Series title the organization has won. That season marked Gibson’s first with the team, as he was signed to bring an edge and help push the team over the hump.
Hershiser has appeared on previous Dodgers Zoom parties, which regularly are hosted by Joe Davis and Alanna Rizzo. Each week has featured a blend of current and former players, as well as special guests.
Reunited and it feels so good.

Last week, Sax joined Rizzo, Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, Joc Pederson and Walker Buehler, among others. Sax shared his experience playing with Michael Jordan while the two were members of the Chicago White Sox organization, and also revealed the time he kicked the NBA legend in the chest.
The weekly sessions have provided fans with an opportunity to connect with organization amid challenging times brought about by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. They also provide a reprieve from concern that stems from Major League Baseball and the Players Association being at odds over an economic plan for this year.
