The Los Angeles Dodgers Zoom party that had already been rescheduled and was set to be held Monday night at 6 p.m. PT, has again been changed and postponed until further notice. Fans who received email confirmation do not need to re-RSVP and will be notified via email when the event has been rescheduled.

The Zoom party was originally scheduled for Monday, June 1, but was delayed by one week in the wake of civil unrest throughout Southern California and the United States in the wake of George Floyd’s death. It’s unclear if that remained a factor behind postponing it.

If and when the event is held, it will be a reunion for Orel Hershiser, Kirk Gibson, Steve Sax and other members of the Dodgers’ 1988 World Series team. That of course was Gibson’s first year with the organization and he is most remembered for a walk-off home run against the Oakland Athletics.

Hershiser has appeared on previous Dodgers Zoom parties, which regularly are hosted by Joe Davis and Alanna Rizzo. Sax also was just part of a call, revealing he once kicked Michael Jordan in the chest when the two were part of the Chicago White Sox organization.

Each week has featured a blend of current and former players, as well as special guests.

“The fans absolutely love them. As we’ve gone on, they’ve gotten progressively better. The fans love it, and I think it really gives them a sense of the Dodgers players being in their own living room,” Rizzo recently told DodgerBlue.com.

“To see these guys in a more intimate way, in their personal lives, being human beings instead of robots or players, I think fans have really enjoyed that. Honestly, everyone is just dying for any sort of connection to the team. To have this on a weekly basis has been really fun and encouraging.

“And to do it in Spanish was really great, too. To have Fernando Valenzuela, Jaime, Jorge, Adrian Gonzalez, Kiké, Edwin Rios and Brusdar Graterol, it was awesome. I’m learning a lot about the players that I wouldn’t necessarily have known. I think they’re great. It’s a way to connect with our fanbase, it’s a way for our fans to stay connected to their team.”
