Dodgers Walk-Up Songs Picked By Wives & Girlfriends For 2024 Women’s Night

The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated Women’s Night at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, which included senior director of global sponsorships Jenny Oh throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to Clayton Kershaw.

Los Angeles Sparks guard and WNBA championship Lexie Brown also announced the customary “It’s time for Dodger baseball” over the Dodger Stadium speakers before the game began.

As Dodgers players arrived to begin preparing, they were asked to pick their favorite female athlete. Kershaw selected soccer legend Mia Hamm, Ohtani chose his wife Mamiko Tanaka, a former professional basketball player, and Tyler Glasnow picked hurdler Lolo Jones.

Tennis legend Serena Williams, who recently hosted the 2024 ESPYS, was a popular pick in the Dodgers clubhouse as well.

Women’s Night additionally saw Dodgers walk-up songs chosen by player wives and girlfriends once again.

Shohei Ohtani historically steps up to the plate to “The Show Goes On” by Lupe Fiasco, but on Friday did so to “Il Vento D’oro” by Yugo Kanno.

For the second consecutive year, Chelsea Freeman picked “Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira for Freddie Freeman. The song is appropriate for the All-Star first baseman, whose dance moves have been incorporated by the team as a celebration after an extra-base hit.

Jennifer Hernández chose “Run The World” by Beyoncé for Teoscar Hernández, and Molly O’Boyle also went with the global superstar for Gavin Lux with “Diva.”

Lux started the scoring for the Dodgers with a two-run double in the bottom of the first. The 26-year-old has been swinging a hot bat as of late and finished 2-for-4 in L.A.’s 5-2 win.
