The National League West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers (30-12) will try to end a rare two-game skid as large favorites on Tuesday when they visit the last-place Arizona Diamondbacks (15-27) in the opener of a three-game series at Chase Field.

The Dodgers send Walker Buehler (1-0, 3.60 ERA) to the mound as a -235 betting favorite on the MLB odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. He’s comng off a very successful start last time out against the Diamondbacks last Wednesday.

Buehler pitched five scoreless innings versus Arizona at Dodger Stadium, allowing only two hits with one walk and six strikeouts for arguably his best outing of the season. Unfortunately for him, his Los Angeles teammates did not provide him with any run support when he was in the game.

Fortunately though, the Dodgers rallied to win 3-2 in 10 innings, their fourth straight victory in games Buehler has started this year. They went on to sweep the Diamondbacks in three games as part of a six-game winning streak that ended with consecutive losses to the Colorado Rockies on Saturday and Sunday. Los Angeles has won seven of eight over Arizona.

Since getting swept in that series last week, with the UNDER cashing in the last two at online betting sites, the Diamondbacks dropped three of four to the San Francisco Giants. Arizona won the series opener 6-5 as a +130 underdog last Friday before losing the last three, including a 4-2 defeat on Monday. The UNDER is 5-1 in the previous six games for the Diamondbacks overall and has also gone 6-2 in the past eight meetings, according to the OddsShark MLB Database.

Opposing Buehler will be Luke Weaver (1-6, 7.44 ERA), who will be looking to break a personal three-game losing streak in which he has surrendered eight runs and 17 hits in 14 innings.

Next up on Wednesday for the Dodgers will be Clayton Kershaw (5-1, 1.50 ERA) followed by Dustin May (1-1, 2.88 ERA) on Thursday. Arizona will counter with Taylor Clarke (1-0, 2.96 ERA) and Madison Bumgarner (0-4, 8.44 ERA), respectively. That trio for the Diamondbacks is a combined 2-10.
