The Los Angeles Dodgers snapped their two-game losing streak in the series opener at Busch Stadium and now can clinch a series win against the St. Louis Cardinals.

But they’ll need to do so without Tyler Glasnow or Teoscar Hernández. Glasnow was placed on the 15-day injured list because of right elbow tendinitis, but for Hernández it’s just a day of rest.

Prior to Saturday, Hernández started 121 of the Dodgers’ 123 games this season. The only two contests he wasn’t in the lineup were due to his grandfather passing away.

The day off comes as Hernández has been mired in a mini slump. Through the first five games of the road trip he’s gone just 2-for-20 with one walk and eight strikeouts.

Glasnow becoming the latest injured Dodgers pitcher has them turning to Bobby Miller. He’s back with the team for the first time since getting demoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on July 10.

That came one day after Miller allowed a career-high nine runs to the Philadelphia Phillies.

It’s been a bumpy season for Miller, who went 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in three starts before landing on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation in the middle of April.

Miller missed over two months because of the injury and continued to struggle in four starts upon returning, going 0-1 with a 9.87 ERA and allowing opponents to bat .338/.434/.620 during that span.

Justin Wrobleski, who made a spot start Friday and earned his first career win, was optioned to OKC as the corresponding move to Miller getting recalled. The Dodgers also activated Ryan Brasier off the 60-day injured list and optioned Michael Grove.

Andre Pallante takes the mound for the Cardinals in his 22nd game (13th start) of the season. The right-hander faced the Dodgers as a relief pitcher on March 28 and 31, allowing a combined three runs over three innings.

Pallante has been in the Cardinals rotation since the end of May. He’s 4-5 with a 3.88 ERA and 1.28 WHIP as a starter.
