Dodgers Video: Tommy Lasorda Urges Everyone To Stay Inside To Get Through Coronavirus Pandemic

Expectations for the Los Angeles Dodgers were high going into the 2020 season, but unfortunately they have not been able to take the field yet with the start of the campaign postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Major League Baseball is trying to find ways to get some sort of season in, but before they can even think about doing that, the curve has to flatten in the United States in addition to a number of other factors such as available and quick testing.

The best way for the country to get close to that happening is for everyone to stay quarantined in their own homes to avoid unknowingly passing the virus around.

Former Dodgers legendary manager Tommy Lasorda stressed exactly that in a video urging fans to stay inside, via AM 570 L.A. Sports:

A message from Tommy to all of you out there. We are all in this together and we are all ONE team 🙏 pic.twitter.com/fuIpYJsMM4

— AM 570 LA Sports (@AM570LASports) April 11, 2020

It should be noted Lasorda was wearing a mask and gloves in the video, which is important during this time as well and is now a mandate if people leave their homes in L.A. County.

In the meantime, Dodgers players are trying to find ways to stay busy and in shape for the 2020 season whenever it is able to get underway. Clayton Kershaw recently made an appearance on a celebrity Zoom call thanks to former teammate Brandon McCarthy.

While content like that is keeping fans busy and entertained at the moment, nothing compared to Dodger baseball so hopefully everyone will take Lasorda’s advice and the pandemic will be under control sooner rather than later.

If a 2020 is able to be played, it likely will take place at Spring Training facilities in Arizona with no fans in the stands.
