To kick off season 3 of “Call of Duty: Warzone,” players dropped into a retro version of the Verdansk map this week in what was one of the biggest updates in the franchise’s history.
To help promote the event, Activision released a trailer that featured many notable athletes, including Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Mookie Betts.
Betts can be seen hitting a grenade with a shotgun baseball bat, shielding himself and L.A. Lakers guard Dennis Schroder in the process.
Among the other celebrities that can be found in the trailer include Young Thug, Jack Harlow, Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, Saweetie and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

Betts is known to enjoy playing video games in his spare time and can also be found in the newly-released MLB The Show 2021.
He’s one of six players on the Dodgers who received a Diamond Rating this year, along with Trevor Bauer, Cody Bellinger, Walker Buehler, Clayton Kershaw and Corey Seager.
Bellinger is a serious video game player himself and was featured as a character in “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.” He is playing a viking named Otta Sluggasson, and provided the motion capture, voice acting and face modeling for the characters, which players can encounter on their journey through the game.
Betts back in Dodgers lineup after hit by pitch
Betts returned to the Dodgers lineup for Thursday’s opener against the San Diego Padres after missing one game due to being hit by a pitch on the inside of his right forearm.
X-rays came back negative, though Betts was experiencing soreness and held out of Tuesday’s series finale against the Seattle Mariners.
Betts previously was out of the lineup for one week earlier this month due to lower back stiffness.
