Aside from baseball, one sport that many Los Angeles Dodgers players and coaches play is golf. Manager Dave Roberts, Joe Kelly and Will Smith are among those who routinely play it during the offseason and breaks in the schedule.

Last week, a putting green was set up by the entrance of the Dodgers clubhouse, and several players attempted to sink a putt upon arriving at Dodger Stadium.

Freddie Freeman and his son Charlie took the first shots, but were unsuccessful. Roberts, Max Muncy, Chris Taylor and Julio Urías, among others, also failed to get the ball in the hole.

While there were more misses than makes, David Peralta, Brusdar Graterol, Yency Almonte, Kelly and Betts successfully sunk the putt.

Further illustrating the popularity of golf within the Dodgers clubhouse was how many players participated in the seventh annual Justin Turner Golf Classic this past February. Turner hosted the charity event each year in Southern California during his time with the team.

This year’s event saw Ryan Pepiot hit the first-ever hole-in-one in the history of the event. “I’m at a loss for words right now,” Pepiot said in a video posted by Turner to Instagram.

After making the shot, Pepiot was congratulated by Turner, and awarded with the ball and a bottle of Don Julio tequila.

Dodgers pick favorite Taylor Swift songs

Earlier this season, Dodgers players were asked to pick their favorite song by Taylor Swift during a segment that coincided with her string of concerts at SoFi Stadium.

Kershaw fittingly chose Swift’s “22” as his favorite song, which was also picked by Betts and Freeman. Freeman jokingly added that he wished he was 22 years old again.

Peralta followed that up that his daughter’s pick of “Shake It Off” before doing his best to sing the chorus.
