Dodgers Video: Mookie Betts & Bryce Harper Exchanged Autographed Jerseys

The weekend series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies did not lack for All-Stars, with Mookie Betts and Bryce Harper arguably the biggest names involved.

Both players started in all three games, with Harper continuing to serve as the Phillies’ designated hitter until being cleared to play the field as he continues to recover from Tommy John surgery. Meanwhile, Betts showed off his versatility by playing one game at second base.

It was Harper and the Phillies who got the better of the matchup by taking two of three games, including the series finale at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday.

Following the game, Betts and Harper met behind home plate to exchange autographed jerseys and pose for photographs.

Betts went 5-for-12 with five runs scored, one home run, four RBI and one walk during the series against the Phillies. He’s in the midst of a six-game hitting streak, his second-longest stretch of the season.

Harper was 3-for-9 in the series with one run scored and two RBI. Harper reached safely in all four plate appearances during the Phillies’ 7-3 win on Sunday.

Mookie Betts on Dodgers’ walk-off losses

In going 2-4 on their road trip, the Dodgers suffered three walk-off losses. Although that could be deflating for a team, Betts kept an optimistic outlook and said the tide could quickly turn in the Dodgers’ favor.

They’ll look to reverse recent trends during a homestand that begins this week, as L.A. is just 17-19 on the road so far this season.
