Landon Knack is among the Los Angeles Dodgers prospects that could potentially make their debut at some point during the 2024 season.
The 26-year-old was selected by the organization in the second round of the 2020 MLB Draft and is coming off arguably his most impressive season as a professional.
Knack went 5-1 with a 2.51 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 100.1 innings pitched across 22 starts between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.
With just over six weeks before pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training, Knack shared a video on Instagram of his recent bullpen session at Dodger Stadium.
Knack is currently the No. 9 ranked Dodgers prospect according to MLB Pipeline. Most known for his command, he projects as a middle- or back-of-the-rotation starter at the big league level.
Knack figures to fill in as a depth option this season and should provide the team with a potential innings-eater. The Dodgers could also move Knack in a trade, but he is likely to spend most of his time in Triple-A.
He was among three prospects the Dodgers added to their 40-man roster earlier this offseason to protect them from potentially getting selected by another organization in the 2023 Rule 5 Draft.
In addition to Knack, the Dodgers also added Nick Frasso and catcher Hunter Feduccia to their 40-man roster.
Landon Knack 2023 season
Knack began the 2023 season with the Drillers, where he posted a 3-1 record, 2.93 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 43 innings pitched (10 starts).
The right-hander was promoted to OKC in mid-June and went on to have even more success. He went 2-0 with a 2.20 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 9.6 strikeouts per nine in 57.1 innings pitched (12 starts).
Knack will likely open the 2024 season with OKC but could quickly join the Dodgers for his MLB debut if he gets off to another strong start.
