Dodgers Video: Kiké Hernandez, Corey Seager Combine To Hit 3 Of 4 Home Runs Against White Sox

The Los Angeles Dodgers gutted out a 1-0 victory on Tuesday night to extend their winning streak to 10 game, but drew the ire of manager Dave Roberts for what he believed were a slew of subpar at-bats.

The Dodgers responded in rousing fashion, pounding Chicago White Sox pitching for nine runs on 13 hits to complete a series sweep, finish undefeated on the road trip, and improve their franchise-best streak to 31-4.

Chris Taylor provided early fireworks, lifting a Carlos Rodon changeup, just the third pitch of the game, to right field for a home run. The homer to open a game was Taylor’s first of his career.

Kiké Hernandez took Rodon deep in the second inning and again in the fourth; both were solo shots. The multi-home run game was the second of Hernandez’s career.

Of Hernandez’s 42 hits this season, 29 have gone for extra bases (12 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs). Corey Seager also homered in the fourth inning, driving a letter-high fastball to the opposite field for a two-run shot.

Then with the Dodgers leading 5-1 in the sixth, the floodgates opened. Yasiel Puig, Trayce Thompson and Taylor each doubled. Thompson and Taylor drove in a run with their extra-base hits. Seager and Justin Turner both followed with an RBI single to give the Dodgers a commanding 9-1 lead.

Cody Belling worked a walk before an out was recorded in the inning. A heavy rain storm arrived in the top of the eighth, which sent the game into a delay. It was called roughly 40 minutes later.
