When the Los Angeles Dodgers and Major League Baseball will manage to begin the 2020 regular season remains unclear, but they will be on television in some sense Sunday night when Justin Turner appears on NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” which airs at 7 p.m. PT.

In the episode Turner meets six-year-old Dylan Palmer on the Top Deck at Dodger Stadium, and the two discuss several statistics and milestones in Dodgers franchise history. Palmer not only proves to be knowledgeable on the organization, but Turner’s career as well.

That is no coincidence, as Turner is Palmer’s favorite player. After being gifted a baseball, Palmer gets a history lesson as he joins Turner on the same walk players make prior to and after each game at Dodger Stadium.

It’s highlighted by Gold Glove trophies on one side and World Series trophies to the right. Palmer again proves to be on his toes by correctly answering who the Dodgers defeated in the 1988 World Series.

Before making a quick left and heading down a hallway filled with more accolades and franchise history, Turner points out MVP Awards to Palmer. Specifically Jackie Robinson’s, prompting the six-year-old expert to note he broke the color barrier and helped Brooklyn to a World Series title in 1955.

From Ellen DeGeneres, Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, “Little Big Shots” highlights children for their sense of humor, inspiring stories and more. In addition to airing Sunday, the full episode on Turner and Palmer will be available to stream through NBC.com and the NBC app.
