Dodgers Video: Freddie Freeman, Charlie Freeman, Will Smith & More Play In Dave Roberts’ Golf Event

Members of the Los Angeles Dodgers spent their off day from Spring Training workouts attending a golf event hosted by manager Dave Roberts at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Tucson, Arizona.

Attendees include Miguel Rojas, Freddie and Charlie Freeman, Will Smith, Jason Heyward, Mookie Betts and Joe Kelly, among others. All of whom had an opportunity to play golf under the lights, at Arizona’s first fully lit golf course.

Cameras followed Freddie Freeman and Charlie as they played several holes, cheering each other on and expressing their disdain for the short game.

Kelly brought his usual swagger, wearing a shirt that paid homage to the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series team.

Dodgers players and staff have had their share of time on the golf course, with Walker Buehler hosting an annual golf event as well.

Chris Taylor wasn’t in attendance, but last year held his ‘Driving For Hope’ charity event at Topgolf in El Segundo which featured a number of teammates and front office members.

A huge bonus in Roberts’ style as manager of a marquee team is his availability to his players in their ventures off the field.

In early February, Chris Taylor hosted the “CT3 Foundation 2024 Charity Polar Plunge” with his wife Mary.

Alongside Smith, Betts, Heyward, Freeman, Gavin Lux, James Outman, Rojas, Tony Gonsolin, Blake Treinen, Gavin Stone, Alex Vesia, Tyler Glasnow, Brusdar Graterol, J.P. Feyereisen, Bobby Miller and Gus Varlard—Roberts was also in the mix when taking the dive into the freezing ocean water.
