Prior to the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home opener against the Washington Nationals, Guillermo from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” visited Dodger Stadium to have a socially-distance chat with Clayton Kershaw.
Guillermo rose to prominence while working as a parking lot security guard, and along with now joining Jimmy Kimmel in the studio, is often sent to award shows, movie premieres and other major events throughout L.A.
Interviews with Guillermo are light-hearted in nature and often include innuendos that are meant to elicit laughs. That was the case with Kershaw, who spoke to Guillermo from the dugout via a megaphone.
Guillermo began the conversation by asking Kershaw which he prefers more between peanuts and crackers. Kershaw corrected him by pointing out that it’s crackerjacks before picking peanuts as his favorite.

Midway through the interview, Guillermo attempted to throw Kershaw a softball from the third deck, which fell well short of the third-base dugout and landed in right field.
The conversation concluded with Guillermo asking Kershaw one more question via phone after the left-hander had trouble picking up a few words. When asked which Dodgers player has the best scent, Kershaw responded with Brusdar Graterol, who smells “beautiful all the time.”
Guillermo has visited Dodger Stadium on multiple occasions in the past, including 2016, when he spoke with multiple Dodgers and Chicago Cubs players during batting practice for Game 4 of the National League Championship Series.
Kershaw ‘excited’ for Dodgers World Series ring ceremony
Before the Dodgers host the Nationals in their home opener, the club will receive their World Series rings and raise the championship banner during a pregame ceremony.
“It’s been marked on the calendar for a while now,” Kershaw said. “I’m excited. I’m excited that we’re going to have a few fans there, first of all. I think that will be really cool.
“It’s kind of the first time we’ve all been together with fans to get to celebrate last year, so I’m very excited about it. We don’t want to look too far into the past, obviously. We’ve got to play, we’ve got to win, but Friday is going to be really special for me for a lot of different reasons.
“Finally get to see that ring, it will be pretty special.”
