With the help of the Momentum crew, agent Rachel Luba and Trevor Bauer provided a behind-the-scenes look of the days leading up to signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers and visiting Dodger Stadium for the introductory press conference.
Episode 12 of “Free Agency with MLB Agent Rachel Luba” begins with Luba and Bauer reuniting with their families in Northern California. After catching up and celebrating the news, they fly down to L.A. to finalize Bauer’s contract.
Before the signing could be made official, Bauer had to pass his physical and wait for the Dodgers to make a corresponding move on the 40-man roster. That amounted to Josh Sborz being designated for assignment, who has since been traded to the Texas Rangers for Jhan Zambrano.
Luba and Bauer then met up with their publicist, who gifted them custom made Arby’s outfits. The vlog continues with Luba and Bauer picking up a ride to Dodger Stadium ahead of the right-hander’s introductory press conference.

Bauer gets a tour of Dodger Stadium and then takes the field, where he is greeted by Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and manager Dave Roberts.
After the press conference, Bauer can be seen taking photographs inside the Vin Scully Press Box and outside Dodger Stadium. The video concludes with Luba heading back to LAX to catch a flight to Arizona, where she has unfinished business to tend to.
In a separate video, Bauer detailed his search for a location to get a haircut the day before the introductory press conference, along with Luba being asked for an autograph before he was.
Bauer ‘can’t wait’ for 2021 season
In a vlog to announce his decision, Bauer explained some of what was behind the choice to sign with the Dodgers. The messaging included moving on from a Cy Young Award winning season and focusing on 2021.
With that, Bauer stressed the fans, organization and team name on the front of the jersey as being of the utmost importance. With that, Bauer concludes by sharing his excitement for this year.
