The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a heartbreaking 13-12 loss to the Houston Astros in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday, leaving them at the brink of elimination. Though the end result wasn’t favorable, the 10-inning back-and-forth affair will go down as one of the best Fall Classic games in MLB history.

Game 5 featured multiple lead changes, seven collective home runs and 14 different pitchers between both clubs. While there was no shortage of intensity and stressful innings in the contest, a trio of Astros fans also provided some laughs along the way in front of a national audience.

With the Dodgers trailing by three runs in the ninth inning, Yasiel Puig sent a ball to the Crawford Boxes in left field to cut the deficit to one.

Astros fan Sarah Head caught Puig’s homer and celebrated with her husband — only to have the ball snatched away by her brother-in-law, Kirk Head. With the FOX cameras rolling, he then proceeded to throw the ball back on the field in a rambunctious manner.

When Head initially obtained the ball, she knew immediately that her brother-in-law would take matters into his own hands, and Kirk had little remorse over the incident, per Mike Oz of Yahoo! Sports:

“I would have liked the opportunity to throw it back myself,” Head told Yahoo Sports.

Turns out the guy who took the ball from her was her brother-in-law, Kirk Head. Sarah said she knew he was going to take it and throw it back.

Kirk was informed by Yahoo Sports that he’d been turned into a villain on the Internet and then asked to defend himself. His defense? “[Expletive] the Dodgers.”

The humorous moment instantly caused an uproar on social media. Most were upset with Kirk’s actions, but the family has already moved on from the incident.

The World Series shifts back to Dodger Stadium on Tuesday for Game 6, where the Dodgers look to overcome a 3-2 deficit in front of their home fans.
