As the Los Angeles Dodgers finish their second homestand of the season, they are hopeful to soon welcome back the likes of Teoscar Hernández, Blake Snell, Michael Kopech and further down the line, Clayton Kershaw.
Snell, Kopech and Kershaw each are currently on the injured list. Meanwhile, Hernández missed the last two games because of a stomach illness that reminds of what Mookie Betts and Kiké Hernández dealt with, but is an isolated incident.

Manager Dave Roberts nevertheless said he was well past the point of wanting stomach issues to no longer surface within the Dodgers clubhouse.
Dodgers player updates & news
Teoscar Hernández
Hernández was back at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday and the Dodgers are hopeful he will return to the lineup for the series finale against the Colorado Rockies.
“Teoscar is back in the house. He’s going through a full workout today, my expectation is he’ll play tomorrow,” Roberts said.
Andy Pages shifted over to right field the past two nights in Hernández’s absence, which resulted in Tommy Edman and Chris Taylor splitting the games in center field.
Clayton Kershaw
Kershaw is starting what’s expected to be a prolonged rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. The plan is for the 37-year-old to pitch two innings.
Kershaw is not eligible to be activated off the 60-day injured list until May 17.
Michael Kopech
After spending the bulk of the season thus far at Camelback Ranch, Kopech reunited with the Dodgers on Jackie Robinson Day. That afforded him an opportunity to not only be part of their reflection at the Jackie Robinson statue, but Kopech also threw a bullpen session in front of Dodgers pitching coaches.
Roberts described it as “very good” and said Kopech will continue to throw more bullpen sessions. He recently had indicated the right-hander was doing well in his progression but not yet close to returning.
Bobby Miller
Given the injury to Snell and the Dodgers needing to operate with a de facto six-man rotation in order to keep Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki on their schedules of starting once per week, they faced a need for Wednesday.
Like was appearing to be the case, Roberts confirmed the Dodgers are going to recall Bobby Miller from Oklahoma City to make a spot start against the Rockies on Wednesday.
The start is going to be Miller’s first game with the Dodgers this year.
Blake Snell
Snell started his throwing program on Monday and played catch on Tuesday.
“Two days in a row, and came out of it really well,” Roberts said.
If Snell continues to progress without any setbacks, he could return to the Dodgers rotation without needing a rehab assignment.
