The Los Angeles Dodgers entered last week with two key series against a pair of National League West opponents.

After dropping two of three to the Colorado Rockies at home, Los Angeles took the first game on the road against the San Francisco Giants but dropped the next two contests in frustrating fashion.

Let’s look back at those who found success and those that struggled over the six-game span.

Trending Down

Howie Kendrick: In the midst of a slump, it was another rough week for Kendrick as he batted just .133 (2-for-15) while sporting a forgettable 30 wRC+.

Corey Seager: After scorching the Atlanta Braves with five home runs in a three-game span, Seager cooled off considerably against the Rockies and Giants, slashing .211/.318/.211 with zero extra-base hits in 22 plate appearances.

Mike Bolsinger: Getting a start against the Rockies, Bolsinger allowed six runs over 5.1 innings, yielding nine baserunners (seven hits, two walks) and striking out five.

Trending Up

Chase Utley: Receiving 19 plate appearances, Utley posted a 112 wRC+ over the last week — the highest-mark amongst his fellow teammates. He batted a modest .267 but reached base over 40 percent of the time.

Kenta Maeda: Suffering a tough-luck loss to the Rockies, Maeda allowed just one run over 6.1 innings pitched, striking out nine batters and walking one. While his ERA was a minuscule 1.35, his FIP was even better at 0.86.

Clayton Kershaw: Making another start at AT&T Park against the Giants, Kershaw was his typical dominant self.

In eight strong innings, he allowed two earned runs and struck out 13 batters without issuing a walk. For the season, Kershaw has tallied 122 strikeouts while walking just six batters.

Adrian Gonzalez: One of the Dodgers’ most productive hitters as of late, Gonzalez notched five hits in 22 at-bats, two of them for extra bases, and drove in five RBIs.

Honorable Mentions

Julio Urias: The 19-year-old phenom made two starts in the past week and allowed three earned runs over 9.1 innings pitched — equating to a solid 2.89 ERA.

Joc Pederson: Despite batting just .235 over the past week, Pederson slugged .529 with three extra-base hits, including a home run against the Giants on Sunday.
