Dodgers Trade Rumors: Hunter Feduccia Sent To Rays In 3-Team Deal

Despite best efforts from the front office during the offseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers faced multiple needs at the MLB trade deadline this year.

Their biggest focus has seemingly been the bullpen, but several reports also connected the Dodgers to searches for an outfielder and specifically one who could improve their defense.

The team was said to have interest in Cleveland Guardians All-Star Steven Kwan and Harrison Bader of the Minnesota Twins. St. Louis Cardinals All-Star Brendan Donovan was thought to be a possibility as well.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers’ first move before the deadline is trading for Adam Serinowski, Paul Gervase and Ben Rortvedt, while parting with Hunter Feduccia in a three-team deal with the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds:

Three-way trade, per ESPN sources:

Dodgers receive: LHP Adam Serinowski, RHP Paul Gervase, C Ben Rortvedt

Rays receive: C Hunter Feduccia, RHP Brian Van Belle

Reds receive: RHP Zack Littell

— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) July 31, 2025

Gervase is currently in the Minor Leagues but made his MLB debut with the Rays this season. He has a 3.12 ERA and averaged 14 strikeouts per nine innings with Triple-A Durham.

Rortvedt also was with the Rays’ Triple-A affiliate but has played in the Majors during parts of the 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Serinowski joins the Dodgers from the Reds organization, where he reached High-A this season.

The Dodgers became involved as a third team after reports of the Reds reaching an agreement to acquire Zack Littell from the Rays.

Are Dodgers trade Hunter Feduccia

The Dodgers trading Feduccia doesn’t come as much of a surprise given Dalton Rushing’s ascension in the backup role. While that might not be where Rushing ultimately settles long-term, the decision to promote him this year certainly blocked Feduccia’s path to the Majors.
