Los Angeles Dodgers tickets for Dodger Stadium games from June 15 through the remainder of the season go on sale to the general public Thursday at 4 p.m. PT.
The Dodgers currently are selling tickets for games against the San Francisco Giants (May 27-30), St. Louis Cardinals (May 31-June 2), Texas Rangers (June 11-13) and the series opener with the Philadelphia Phillies (June 14).
Tickets to be made available Thursday afternoon are notable in that it is for Dodger Stadium returning to full capacity. The team recently announced their intention in conjunction with the state of California reopening plan.
The Dodgers are averaging more than 15,000 in attendance and have sold out every game at Dodger Stadium so far in the 2021 season. Although L.A. County moved into the yellow tier, the Dodgers were not able to take advantage in terms of attendance because of social distancing requirements.
That additionally prevented the team from filling Dodger Stadium to the previously-accepted 33% capacity. They attempted to mitigate that by selling tickets in fully-vaccinated only sections, where fans are not spaced out in separate pods.
“That’s a geometry problem,” Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten recently noted of attendance issues.
“So the only way to get our numbers up are to have sections where there’s no distancing. Like these fully-vaccinated sections. So the more we can do of this, the better. It will allow us to reach the numbers that L.A. County has allowed us to have but won’t change the distancing. It’s not just them. It’s the county, the state, CDC.”
L.A. launched the program by establishing fully-vaccinated sections down the right-field line on the loge level.
They have since expanded to include the right-field side of the reserve level, and for the series against the Giants and Cardinals, fully-vaccinated sections were added in the right-field side of the field level, right field pavilion and Home Run Seats.
Tickets in the fully-vaccinated only sections start at $25 and are being offered at discounts up to 50% off similarly positioned tickets.
New Dodger Stadium additions
The renovated Dodger Stadium plaza has seen the opening of new concessions during more recent homestands, and now joining those is an oversized 2020 World Series ring that fans can take pictures with.
The Dodgers also announced the AmPm on field level and the EATS grab and go in the center field plaza will be open to fans, menu offerings will be expanded throughout Dodger Stadium, and Dunkin’ will be served at more locations.
Additionally, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 50/50 raffle is beginning for the first time this season.
