Los Angeles Dodgers tickets for the Dodger Stadium opener went on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. PT Thursday. The first home game on the 2022 Dodgers schedule is against the Cincinnati Reds on April 14.
Dodgers tickets for all other regular season games previously went on sale. Although the first game of the season at Dodger Stadium historically is an afternoon start, first pitch between the Reds and Dodgers is set for 7:10 p.m.
Because the MLB lockout required schedules to be adjusted, L.A.’s home opener comes on the heels of a five-game road trip comprised of series against the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins.
Notable opponents on the Dodgers’ home schedule are the Atlanta Braves (April 18-20), New York Met (June 2-5), Cleveland Guardians (June 17-19), San Diego Padres (June 30-July 3) and San Francisco Giants (July 21-24).
The April meeting between the Dodgers and Braves will be their first rematch of the 2021 National League Championship Series. There of course is added intrigue with the Dodgers signing Freddie Freeman to a six-year, $162 million contract, and Kenley Jansen joining the Braves on a one-year deal.
Dodgers giveaways and promotions
The 2022 Dodgers promotional and giveaways schedule features 26 items that will be available to all fans at Dodger Stadium (while supplies last), several themed nights and special celebrations, 13 Taco Tuesday nights, six Viva Los Dodgers celebrations and 13 Friday Night Fireworks dates.
Promotional items will be given out to the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance, while supplies last, at the guest’s point of entry, unless otherwise noted on dodgers.com/promotions.
Bobblehead giveaways at Dodger Stadium throughout the 2022 season include Maury Wills (April 16), Will Smith (April 18), Kirk Gibson (April 30), Max Muncy (May 12), Walker Buehler (May 16), Gil Hodges (June 4) and Trea Turner (June 30), among others.
