Dodgers Team Photographer Jon SooHoo & SportsNet LA Broadcaster Orel Hershiser Part Of Andrew Bernstein

Los Angeles Dodgers photographer Jon SooHoo and SportsNet LA broadcaster Orel Hershiser are among those participating in a special exhibit hosted by Andrew Bernstein at The Ice House in Pasadena.

Both VIP and general admission tickets remain available for purchase. VIP tickets grant the attendee access to a reception with Lakers and Dodgers legends, plus food and drinks. All ticketed guests will receive a commemorative gift bag.

The event on Thursday begins at 5:30 p.m. PT and will also feature a discussion panel that includes former Los Angeles Lakers teammates Michael Cooper and Byron Scott.

Bernstein is an official NBA photographer, who has captured not only some of the most memorable moments in the sport, but also those specific to the Lakers. Published in 2018, Bernstein partnered with the late Kobe Bryant on “The Mamba Mentality: How I Play” to highlight some of his photographs of the five-time champion.

Work by Bernstein and SooHoo will be on display and along with Dodgers and Lakers memorabilia, also available via silent auction.

Proceeds will benefit the South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC), Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation and Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF).

SooHoo has been the Dodgers’ photographer since 1985, but his portfolio also includes work from countless Lakers games, USC athletics, World Series, Super Bowls, concerts and more.

Jon SooHoo pictures used by Dodgers

When Andre Ethier was a guest on a Dodgers Zoom party, he revealed a photograph SooHoo took of Dodger Stadium was blown up and used to wallpaper a batting cage at his Arizona home.

SooHoo’s pictures were also utilized by Justin and Kourtney Turner in their refurbishment of a local Boys and Girls Club.

“These are some of my favorites, Kobe being in a lot of them and Vin,” SooHoo said. “Funny thing is I know kids will probably walk right past a few of them because they don’t know who the people are; like Vin shaking Bob Miller’s hand. But they’ll know Kobe, they’ll know Kersh, they’ll know J.T., Magic.

“It’s pretty cool to be a part of this. I hope the kids understand there’s been a lot of history in sports.”
