Dodgers Spring Training: Start Time For Monday’s Game Against Rockies Changed

First pitch between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies was changed to a 6:40 p.m. PT start time at Salt River Fields on Monday night. The game had previously been scheduled to begin at 6:10 p.m.

Last year’s first-round draft pick Gabriel Hughes is scheduled to pitch for the Rockies in just his second professional game. The Dodgers have not listed a probable starter.

The matchup is the second-to-last night game the Dodgers have in Cactus League play this year. They’re facing the Seattle Mariners under the lights at Peoria Sports Complex on Wednesday, which has a 6:40 p.m. start time as well.

Overall, the 2023 Dodgers Spring Training schedule includes nine nighttime games when factoring in the exhibition Freeway Series. However, at most the Dodgers will play eight of those due to their March 15 game with the Rockies at Camelback Ranch getting canceled because of rain.

While it is an afternoon start, the Dodgers will find themselves back at Salt River Fields on Thursday for a matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Dodgers’ final Cactus League game of the year is Saturday, at home against the Kansas City Royals.
