Los Angeles Dodgers announced pitchers and catchers are due to report for Spring Training at Camelback Ranch by Feb. 19, 2016.
Position players are expected in camp by Feb. 24, with the first full-squad workout scheduled the following day.
For the first time in three years, the Dodgers will open camp with a new manager in place. It will be a new change for all parties involved as Dave Roberts enters the first year as manager.
The Dodgers open Cactus League play against Camelback Ranch co-tenant Chicago White Sox on March 3.
Their final game is March 30 against the Cleveland Indians in Glendale, Ariz. Meaning the Dodgers will be in camp 41 days.
From March 3-20, the Dodgers will play 30 games over 28 days. That includes 17 games at Camelback Ranch; 15 of which are home dates.
Exhibition play will continue for the Dodgers as they face the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from March 31-April 2 in games to be played at Dodger Stadium (March 31 and April 1) and Angel Stadium of Anaheim (April 2).
Roberts’ team then opens the 2016 regular season in San Diego against the Padres on Monday, April 4. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. PT and the tilt will be nationally televised by ESPN.
After a three-game series with the Padres, Los Angeles travels north to face the San Francisco Giants in a four-game set at AT&T Park.
