Dodgers Spring Training Highlights: Tyler Glasnow, Will Smith, Teoscar Hernández & Shohei Ohtani Vs. Giants

Tyler Glasnow was nothing short of dominant and Will Smith, Teoscar Hernández and Shohei Ohtani each hit a home run in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 6-4 win over the San Francisco Giants in their penultimate Cactus League game.

The plan for Glasnow in his final spring tuneup was to go five innings or 75 pitches. He efficiently got through 5.1 no-hit innings on 70 pitches, with the lone baserunner allowed coming via walk.

Glasnow struck out the side in the second inning and finished with a spring-high eight strikeouts in his longest start thus far. He exited with a lead thanks to the Dodgers putting together a four-run inning in the bottom of the fifth.

That started with Will Smith’s two-run home run breaking up a scoreless tie. The homer was just Smith’s second of the season.

After Jason Heyward kept the inning alive with a two-out triple, Hernández connected on his first home run of the spring.

Ohtani, who already had a pair of singles on the day, went to the opposite field for a two-run homer in the sixth. That wound up proving to be the difference for the Dodgers as Kyle Hurt labored in the ninth inning and John Rooney allowed three inherited runners to score because of a misplay in center field.
