The Los Angeles Dodgers have long capitalized on their prestige and playing in a large media market through an array of sponsorship agreements, and those have seemingly multiplied tenfold since the signing of Shohei Othani.
Specifically, Ohtani joining the Dodgers on what was a record-setting contract at the time has opened up a world of possibilities internationally. That’s held particularly true with a wide range of Japanese companies entering into partnerships with the Dodgers.

Over the past two years, the Dodgers have signed sponsorships with the likes of Oita, Nikaido Shuzou Company, Ltd., ITO EN, Hakkaisan (Hakkaisan Brewery Co., Ltd.), All Nippon Airways (ANA), Yakult, THK and Toyo Tires, among companies based out of Japan.
Earlier this year, the Dodgers extended their agreement with ANA.

JTB
Just before domestic Opening Day of the 2025 season, the Dodgers announced a multi-year partnership agreement with JTB that makes the Tokyo-based travel company the official Japanese tourism partner of the team.
The deal made JTB the first company in Japan to secure such a partnership. Their sponsorship with the Dodgers calls for JTB to collaborate with the team to enhance the experience for Japanese fans attending games at Dodger Stadium by leveraging its expertise in travel and hospitality.
“The Dodgers are happy to join with JTB on this multi-year partnership,” Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said in a statement.
“Through our mutual collaboration, we look forward to building upon the fun-filled atmosphere that our friends from Japan and elsewhere enjoy at Dodger Stadium, and we welcome all on our exciting pursuit of another World Series championship.”
JTB also is the presenting sponsor of Japanese-language tours at Dodger Stadium, and their guests will have priority access admission that enables them to enter one hour before gates open to the general public. Furthermore, JTB operates round-trip shuttle buses directly from major hotels in Los Angeles, providing smooth and comfortable transportation to Dodger Stadium.
In January 2024, JTB became the only MLB official partner in Asia with travel and hospitality rights, to allow customers from various countries outside the United States to enjoy watching baseball games and continue increasing the number of fans.
“The excitement surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers is reaching new heights in Japan in 2025, and JTB is thrilled to be Official Japanese Tourism Partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers,” said JTB president and CEO Eijiro Yamakita said.
“We are delighted to collaborate with the Dodgers, with the hope of bringing more joy to baseball fans around the world.”
Tokyo Electron
Also recently announced, the Dodgers entered a multi-year agreement to make Tokyo Electron (TEL) one of the team’s partners.
Tokyo Electron manufactures and sells equipment for producing semiconductors and flat-panel displays. TEL is a global leader in its field, and their equipment is used to make many of the world’s semiconductor chips.
“Tokyo Electron is an outstanding partner to welcome into our Dodger family,” Rosen said. “We have the highest expectations that our association with TEL will deliver rewarding mutual benefits in the years to come.”
Through the arrangement, TEL is going to receive Dodgers-related marketing and promotional opportunities in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, as well as signage at multiple locations inside Dodger Stadium. TEL will also sponsor one Shohei Ohtani bobblehead giveaway at Dodger Stadium 2025 and other players in subsequent seasons.
“It is a great honor for us to enter into a partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, a renowned baseball team with strong ties to Japan and a number of star players from Japan,” Tokyo Electron Ltd. president and CEO Toshiki Kawai said.
“It is our sincere hope that this dream sponsorship will be fruitful for everyone involved, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, TEL and Dodgers fans around the world.”
