The Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting Alumni Weekend from Aug. 9-11, 2024, which will conclude with Matt Kemp Day for their series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Fans in attendance will receive a Kemp bobblehead, and Kemp is also signing a one-day contract to officially retire as a member of the Dodgers.

In addition to the normally planned events, the Dodgers also have a special ticket package that includes the opportunity to meet the former All-Star.

The “Matt Kemp Day Experience” is available now and includes a meet and greet with Kemp, a field visit with manager Dave Roberts, a $100 concessions credit, the Kemp and Dusty Baker bobbleheads, a field level ticket and parking.

The price is $1,025.50 per person, which includes fees, and can be purchased here.

The organization originally selected Kemp in the sixth round of the 2003 MLB Draft. He spent the first nine seasons of his big league career in L.A., earning two All-Star Game selections, two Gold Gloves and two Silver Slugger Awards, among other accolades.

Over parts of 10 seasons with Dodgers, Kemp hit .292/.348/.494 with 240 doubles, 203 home runs and 733 RBI, winning two Gold Glove Awards and two Silver Sluggers.

He announced his retirement this past May and returned to the Dodgers in an advisory role.

“Obviously, Matt was a great Dodger,” Roberts said of the news. “Coached him, and he has a lot of value. So for him to be back in a Dodgers uniform, that’s a good thing for all of us.”

Kemp joined Nelson Cruz and Chris Archer as former MLB players who were hired by the Dodgers in the offseason.

Dodgers Legends Suite Experience

The day prior, the Dodgers are also selling a “Dodgers Legends Suite Experience” that incudes a catered premium seat experience, a Dodger Decades pregame tour, a meet and greet with Orel Hershiser, Steve Sax, Eric Gagné, Andre Ethier, Manny Mota and Jaime Jarrin, an exclusive vintage style Dodger dugout jacket and the Kemp and Baker bobbleheads.

Tickets for this experience cost $2,025.20 and can be purchased at the same link.
