With fans not allowed in stadiums this season due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Los Angeles Dodgers and most other organizations have sold cardboard cutouts. They have allowed fans to have a way to see their face at Dodger Stadium and benefitted the L.A. Dodgers Foundation.

The Dodgers have also taken matters one step further as they announced fans and dog or cat owners can now purchase a cutouts for their pets. For $149, fans can include their dogs or cats in Loge sections 143 and 145.

“The cutouts have been a tremendous success and provide a colorful boost to the stadium,” Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation CEO Nichol Whiteman said. “The fans reflect the power of the Dodger community as we raise funds for crucial programs to help Angelenos during these challenging times.”

While the Dodgers have reserved the right to begin letting fans in the stadium at some point this season if the pandemic begins to slow down, it does not appear that will happen, so 2021 is a more realistic date for Dodger Stadium to host fans once again.

Whenever fans are able to return, they will essentially be seeing a brand new stadium for the first time as the Dodgers completed renovations this offseason. Among the changes is a new plaza in center field that will serve as the stadium’s front door as well as social areas for fans to enjoy, and also the addition of more elevators and escalators throughout the concourse.

Fan cutouts raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Dodgers Foundation

Since the Dodgers began selling fan cutouts at the beginning of the season, they have raised nearly $800,000 in support of the team’s official charity.

Included in that are more than 4,500 pet cutouts, which sparked the launch of “Pups at the Park” presented by Lucy Pet Foods. Only a limited number of spots remain available, so any fans that want a cutout of their dog or cat at Dodger Stadium for the remainder of the 2020 season can purchase it HERE.
