The Los Angeles Dodgers announced they will be hosting a second Zoom party featuring players, alumni, celebrities and SportsNet LA broadcasters on Monday, May 4, at 6 p.m. PT.
The first one last week was a resounding success, with the organization welcoming 11,000 fans to the virtual chat that featured Justin Turner, Joe Kelly, Will Smith, Eric Karros, Ron Cey, Alanna Rizzo, Joe Davis, George Lopez and Mario Lopez, among others, over the hour-long event.
It also featured a surprise message from Vin Scully, who gave a positive update on his health after falling in his home and being hospitalized for a few days. Scully is now home and recovering, while also eagerly awaiting the return of Dodger baseball.
Additionally, the participants sung “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” with organist Dieter Ruehle playing on the keyboard and viewers were also treated to a short rendition of Brad Paisley’s new single, “No I in Beer.”

“Baseball has always brought us together – especially during challenging times – and these shared digital experiences are invaluable in keeping our Dodger Family connected,” Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said.
“One of the biggest things our players miss is the daily interactions they have with fans during the course of the season, and they value these opportunities to reconnect. We can’t wait to see everyone at Dodger Stadium again, but until it’s safe to do so, we’re excited to bring together our amazing fans, players and award-winning entertainers to celebrate our shared love of Dodger baseball.”
It’s unclear which members from the organization will be on this Monday’s Zoom call, but it likely will be another star-studded event featuring different players, alumni and celebrities.
Fans that would like to watch must RSVP ahead of time, and they can do so on the Dodgers’ official website.
