Dodgers Roster: Tyler Glasnow Placed On 15-Day Injured List, Noah Davis Recalled

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Tyler Glasnow on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation and recalled Noah Davis from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Glasnow started on Sunday, but lasted just one inning before being removed.

The right-hander finished throwing warmup pitches prior to the second inning but was seen shaking his arm before being checked on by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and head athletic trainer Thomas Albert.

A brief conversation was had before Glasnow walked off the field and the Dodgers later announced the injury as right shoulder discomfort.

Glasnow was expected to get an MRI, but the Dodgers had not yet decided after the game if a stint on the IL would be necessary for the 31-year-old.

“It’s certainly a possibility,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “We’ve got to get him to a place where we feel, he feels, that when he takes the mound he can go out there and be the guy he’s capable of being.

“Until we get to that point, I think that the IL is certainly in the conversation.”

Glasnow has now been limited in three starts this season. He came unglued against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 6 — largely due to rainy weather — and left his last two outings because of injury.

In his prior outing, Glasnow dealt with cramps that forced him out of the game, but the Dodgers had confidence in his health moving forward.

The injuries have caused Glasnow to become frustrated as he searches for answers.

Glasnow has made five starts this season, going 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in 18 innings. In two seasons with the Dodgers, he is 10-6 with a 3.61 ERA in 27 starts.

Noah Davis replaces Tyler Glasnow on Dodgers roster

Davis re-joins the club after being optioned on April 26 to make room for Yoendrys Gómez. He was not eligible to be recalled this soon unless it was to replace an injured pitcher.

The right-hander previously went 0-1 with a 10.13 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in three appearances for the Dodgers. However, he didn’t allow an earned run in two of his three appearances.

Prior to this year, Davis pitched in the Majors for the Colorado Rockies over parts of three seasons from 2022-2024. During that span he went 0-4 with a 7.71 ERA, 5.65 FIP and 1.95 WHIP in 18 games (six starts).

He appeared in a career-high nine games for the Rockies last season.
