Dodgers Roster: Landon Knack Recalled, Justin Wrobleski Optioned

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Landon Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned Justin Wrobleski prior to Wednesday’s game against the Washington Nationals.

Knack is starting the series finale at Nationals Park so that the Dodgers can keep Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Saski on a schedule of both starting once a week.

Knack makes a second consecutive spot starter the Dodgers are utilizing to finish their road trip. Manager Dave Roberts revealed last week that a bullpen game or calling up a pitcher to start was in the team’s plans.

Needing Wrobleski as well was not expected, and came about because Blake Snell was put on the 15-day injured list due to left shoulder discomfort.

Knack looks to have better success than Wrobleski, who allowed eight runs over five innings in his 2025 debut.

The right-hander pitched in the Tokyo Series, when he pitched two scoreless innings against the Chicago Cubs in the Tokyo Series. He’s pitched once for the OKC Comets so far this year, allowing two runs in 4.2 innings.

Knack went 3-5 with a 3.65 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 15 games (12 starts) for the Dodgers last season.

Dodgers option Justin Wrobleski

Wrobleski returns to Triple-A, where he will continue to pitch as a starter and serve as depth for the Dodgers when needed. Had he turned in a quality outing on Tuesday, Wrobleski may have stuck around to take Snell’s next turn in the rotation, but the Dodgers will consider multiple options to take that, including Knack or a bullpen game.

At present, the Dodgers need starters for Tuesday and Wednesday. Because he was optioned, Wrobleski is not a candidate to pitch in either of those games unless he’s replacing an injured player.

The left-hander has appeared in one game for OKC this far this season, going 5.2 innings while allowing no runs on just three hits. He struck out three and walked two.

Wrobleski pitched in eight games for the Dodgers during his rookie season last year, posting a 5.70 ERA in 36.1 innings with 26 strikeouts and a 1.38 WHIP.
