Dodgers Roster: Bobby Miller Recalled & Landon Knack Optioned To Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned Landon Knack to Triple-A Oklahoma City and recalled Bobby Miller to make a start against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

Knack heads back to Oklahoma City after a relatively brief stint with the Dodgers. He made two starts for the team, including throwing 4.1 innings of the Dodgers’ win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Knack largely managed to work his way through traffic and allowed two runs. He walked two batters and finished with a pair of strikeouts. It was an improvement on Knack’s struggles against the Washington Nationals, when he gave up five runs and issued four walks in just 2.1 innings pitched.

“Just really determined to come out and attack a little more. Obviously, still a couple walks in there, but overall just a lot better direction with everything and much better feel coming out of the hand,” Knack said after facing the Rockies.

“I was just getting after it a little bit more, so definitely a lot better feeling. I wanted to attack this last week and I think we did a really good job of it.”

Overall in three games (two starts) for the Dodgers this season, the right-hander is 1-0 with a 7.27 ERA, 4.98 FIP and 1.73 WHIP. Knack made his 2025 debut with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen in the finale of the Tokyo Series.

“I thought he just had a lot better command,” Roberts said after Tuesday’s win. “He was losing his curveball and slider arm-side, the changeup wasn’t in play last start, fastball wasn’t really relevant. I think today, the fastball had life and the breaking ball was good. He left the slider up to (Adael) Amador for that hit, but outside of that I thought he was good.”

Dodgers turn to Bobby Miller

Miller is up with the Dodgers for the first time as they face a need for starting pitching because of Blake Snell’s injury and wanting to keep Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki on their schedules of taking the mound once per week.

Miller is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA and 1.42 WHIP three games (two starts) for Oklahoma City this year. What was technically a relief appearance on April 6 saw Miller enter after Evan Phillips pitched one inning as an opener.

Miller went five innings in what was his worst performance so far on the young season as he allowed three runs and walked six.

The 26-year-old otherwise turned in scoreless starts on March 30 and April 11. However, Miller’s most recent outing for Oklahoma City was cut short at just 2.1 innings, presumably with an eye on needing to make a start with the Dodgers.

Miller is becoming the eighth different starting pitcher the Dodgers have used this season.
