Dodgers Prospect Nick Frasso Named Pacific Coast Pitcher Of The Week For August 21-27

Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Nick Frasso was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for August 21-27.

Frasso, who was recently promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowed just two hits and collected four strikeouts over six scoreless innings against the Albuquerque Isotopes in his first start with the affiliate.

Frasso was originally selected by the Toronto Blue Jays out of Loyola Marymount University in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft before being traded to the Dodgers at the deadline last season as part of a four-player deal.

The Torrance, California, native began the 2023 season with Double-A Tulsa and compiled a 3-4 record, 3.91 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 11.5 strikeouts per nine in 73.2 innings pitched across 21 starts.

Frasso was named the Minor League Pitcher of the Month in the Texas League for April after going 1-1 with a 1.23 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 12.3 strikeouts per nine over 22 innings pitched (five starts).
